Team Packs Explained
Pre-configured agent rosters for different company sizes and use cases.
Startup Pack (3 agents)
The leanest possible team. Built for solo founders and small projects where you need a CEO to manage priorities, a CTO to design solutions, and an engineer to build them.
| Agent | Reports To | Default Adapter |
|---|---|---|
| CEO | Board (you) | Claude |
| CTO | CEO | Claude |
| Senior Engineer | CTO | Claude |
The Startup pack is a tight delegation chain: you tell the CEO what to build, the CEO tells the CTO, the CTO tells the engineer. Three agents, zero ambiguity about who does what.
Agency Pack (7 agents)
Designed for client-facing work. Adds marketing, finance, and HR to the Startup core so you can handle content production, budget tracking, and team management alongside engineering.
| Agent | Reports To | Why Included |
|---|---|---|
| CEO | Board (you) | Client communication, strategy, cross-functional coordination |
| CTO | CEO | Technical architecture, engineering oversight |
| CMO | CEO | Marketing strategy, campaign management |
| CFO | CEO | Budget alerts, cost optimization, financial reporting |
| VP of HR | CEO | Agent performance reviews, team scaling |
| Senior Engineer | CTO | Code implementation |
| Content Marketer | CMO | Blog posts, social media, email campaigns |
Enterprise Pack (10 agents)
The full org chart. Adds DevOps, Security, and a dedicated Compliance Director to the Agency pack for companies that need infrastructure management, CI/CD, security audits, and automated GRC monitoring.
| Agent | Reports To | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| CEO | Board (you) | |
| CTO | CEO | |
| CMO | CEO | |
| CFO | CEO | |
| VP of HR | CEO | |
| Compliance Director | CEO | Oversight role — read-only access, compliance-tagged issues, GRC monitoring. Enterprise only. |
| Senior Engineer | CTO | |
| DevOps Engineer | CTO | |
| Security Engineer | CTO | |
| Content Marketer | CMO |
The Compliance Director is an Enterprise-only role. It reports to the CEO but operates independently from the rest of the org — it monitors all departments for regulatory compliance (GDPR, CCPA, SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI-DSS), creates compliance-tagged issues when gaps are found, and generates GRC reports. It cannot modify configs, trigger deployments, or delete data. See Agents and Roles for a full capability breakdown.
Customizing the Roster During Onboarding
Team packs are starting points, not hard requirements. During the onboarding wizard, after selecting a pack, you can:
- Remove agents you don't need (e.g., drop the CMO if you're not doing marketing)
- Add agents from the full role template catalog (e.g., add a UX Designer)
- Change adapters per agent (e.g., use Codex for the engineer, Claude for the CEO)
- Rename agents to match your naming convention
What Gets Auto-Seeded
When you deploy a team pack and finish onboarding, IronWorks automatically creates:
- 7 playbooks: New Client Onboarding, Security Audit, Product Launch, Incident Response, Content Campaign, Weekly Operations Review, Lead Generation Funnel
- 5 routines (as drafts): Daily Standup, Weekly Performance Review, Weekly Security Scan, Monthly Operations Report, Content Calendar Review
- 9 Knowledge Base pages: Company Operating Manual, New Agent Onboarding Checklist, Performance Review Process, Engineering Standards, Security Policy, Incident Response Procedure, Cost Management Guidelines, Project Kickoff Template, Performance Improvement Plan Template
- A welcome issue assigned to the CEO so the team has work on its first heartbeat
All of this is seeded automatically. You can edit or delete any of it.
What to Read Next
After deploying a pack, customize each agent using Agents and Roles — adjust SOUL.md for your industry, assign additional skills, and tune the reporting chain. The seeded Playbooks are ready to run immediately — start with New Client Onboarding or Product Launch. Monitor your new team in the War Room from day one.
All three team packs are available on every plan. View IronWorks pricing — Starter starts at $79/month with unlimited agents.
